Michael Boulware was back on the field for the first time since the Super Bowl. That leaves Jordan Babineaux as the only player (that figures to make the team) in the secondary not practicing at this point.
David Greene and Gibran Hamdan do not get very many reps, but should get a chance to show everyone what they have in the scrimmage on Saturday. Greene did have a pass intercepted by DE Bryce Fisher who dropped back 15 yards in coverage as well as another one by LB Isaiah Kacyvenski. Greene is leaving the door wide-open for Hamdan to take his job. Hamdan does not get a lot of opportunities to wrestle it away from him, so his play on Saturday is critical. Hamdan's health remains his biggest obstacle.
DE Kemp Rasmussen worked with the second and third team on the right side behind Darryl Tapp. Tapp figures to back up Bryce Fisher on the left side when Grant Wistrom returns. Rasmussen appears to be the front-runner for the fourth DE spot. He is currently competing with Robert Pollard, but the competition should heat up when Joe Tafoya comes back from his injury.
